AT Certificate Course - Fall 2025 - Virtual, Begins 10/2/2025
Description :
The Assistive Technology Certificate Course is a virtual course that prepares participants to assess and support K-12 students with curriculum access needs. This course will provide personal attention and individual coaching for all participants in small group sizes. This does not cover AAC.
Student Learning Objectives:
Participants will demonstrate skills and knowledge in the following areas: software for curriculum access and executive functioning needs, including word prediction, text-to-speech, internet access, accessibility, and organization; benefits of commercial and free/low-cost tools, use of assessment tools, comparing student needs with and without AT, special education law governing AT curriculum access accommodations and implementation, and utilization and location of resources and groups for support.

AT Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Speech/Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, Resource Teachers, Special Day Class Teachers, OI/LI Specialists/Teachers, Teacher/Program Specialists, AT Assistants, School Psychologists and Special Education Administrators
