Our Story
AT10 Education, L.L.C. was founded by Assistive Technology Specialists Nikki M. Gelso and Diana Neskovska. They saw a significant need in the area of assistive technology in K-12 settings and began on focus on building expertise in schools. Each year, with their AT and AAC Certificate courses, they train approximately 150 new AT/AAC Specialists in California and beyond. AT10 Education provides educational services, training, courses for credit, webinars, assessments, consulting services and more for Districts, schools, educators, families and private agencies.

Nikki and Diana work with children and adults with autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, attention-deficit disorders, speech and language impairments in a variety of placements and settings. Additionally, they specialize in assessing students with complex profiles and complicated academic and communication needs, including students with hearing and vision impairments, orthopedic impairments, multiple disabilities, health impairments and rare disorders.

The Need is Greater Than Ever
The availability of technology has been a great equalizer for all but the gap between individuals with disabilities and their counterparts continues to exist. In the U.S. and California, less than 1/3 of people with disabilities are employed.
AT for School
While the high school graduation rates of students with disabilities continues to improve, it is estimated that only 26% successfully achieve Bachelor's Degrees in college.
Communication Access for All
Social media has created opportunities for people with disabilities that never existed before. With the support of AAC systems and communication devices, users with speech and motor impairments can participate in conversations just like everyone.
Built-In Accessibility
The largest technology companies in the world are providing built-in accessibility tools within smartphones, computers, home devices and tablets. AT Specialists play a crucial role in facilitating the use of these features for their students.
AT for Life
AT software and devices are improving the lives of people from babies to the elderly. From home to schools to hospitals and senior care facilities, AT Specialists are supporting environments across the life span. The fast increase in memory disorders has created an unprecedented need for AT support in those age 65 and up.
Autism
March 2023, CDC's Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) published new findings that indicated 1 in 36, 8-year-old children have been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the U.S. This is the fastest growing disability category, and AT/AAC Specialists are working to provide tools for academic and communication access, as well as support for executive functioning skills.
Learning and Attention Problems
Text readers, voice typing, and more digital tools have made it possible for all students to access their academic curriculum. It is estimated that 1 in 5 children are affected by learning and attention deficits.
We Can't Depend on AT Specialists
There are just not enough AT Specialists out there. Sharing information, knowledge, education and training are crucial to support the changing needs of people with disabilities.
